Jayatheertha is an Indian filmmaker, theatre director, and production designer known for his significant contributions to Kannada cinema and theatre. Born and raised in Bengaluru, he developed a strong passion for theatre at a young age and trained at the renowned Abhinayataranga under theatre personality A. S. Murthy. Starting his journey in theatre, he became actively involved as a playwright, director, and trainer, conducting numerous theatre workshops and social-awareness street plays. His work in theatre earned recognition for its creative storytelling and its focus on social themes. Transitioning into cinema, Jayatheertha established himself as a filmmaker with notable Kannada films such as Olave Mandara, Tony, Beautiful Manasugalu, Bell Bottom, Vanilla, and Banaras. His films are recognized for blending engaging storytelling with unique cinematic style, helping him gain prominence in the Kannada film industry. Alongside directing feature films, he has also worked as a writer, production designer, and theatre activist, continuing to influence both stage and screen with his creative vision.
