Karthik Rathnam is an Indian actor primarily working in Telugu cinema and theatre. Born and brought up in Secunderabad, Telangana, he initially pursued Chartered Accountancy but pivoted to theatre arts. He gained significant recognition for his work in theatre, notably winning a Nandi Award for his compelling performance in the Telugu play 'Borusu Leni Bomma'. He made his cinematic debut with the critically acclaimed Telugu film 'C/o Kancharapalem' in 2018, which garnered international acclaim by being screened at the New York Film Festival. He further expanded his repertoire with appearances in the ZEE5 series 'Gods of Dharmapuri' and reprised his role in the Tamil remake of his debut film, 'C/o Kaadhal'. Known for his versatile performances, Karthik Rathnam has successfully portrayed a diverse range of characters, from lead roles to impactful supporting and antagonistic roles in films like 'Palasa 1978', 'Naandhi', 'Dasara', and 'Ambajipeta Marriage Band', establishing himself as a significant and promising talent in the contemporary Telugu film industry.
