Darshan Thoogudeepa, born Hemanth Kumar on February 16, 1977, is a prominent Indian actor, film producer, and distributor primarily working in Kannada cinema. With a career spanning over two decades and more than 50 films, he is one of the highest-paid and leading contemporary actors in the industry, affectionately known as 'Challenging Star' and 'D Boss' by his fans. He began his career with minor roles in television soaps and small films in the mid-1990s, making his film debut in 'Mahabharatha' (1997). His breakthrough as a lead actor came with 'Majestic' in 2002. Darshan has starred in numerous commercially successful films including 'Kariya' (2003), 'Kalasipalya' (2004), 'Gaja' (2008), 'Saarathi' (2011), 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' (2012), 'Bulbul' (2013), 'Yajamana' (2019), 'Roberrt' (2021), and 'Kaatera' (2024).
