Vandemataram Srinivas, born Kanneboina Srinivasa Rao Yadav, is a prominent Indian music director and playback singer primarily working in Telugu cinema. He gained the prefix 'Vandemataram' from his singing debut in the 1985 film 'Vande Mataram'. His breakthrough as a music director came with Dasari Narayana Rao's 'Osey Ramulamma' (1997), which earned him critical acclaim, including a Filmfare Award and a Nandi Award for Best Music Director. He continued his success with films like 'Jayam Manade Raa' (2000), further solidifying his position as a leading composer. Known for his folk-infused melodies and powerful vocals, he has composed for over 50 films and delivered numerous hit songs.
