Jithan Ramesh, born Ramesh Choudary, is an Indian actor and film producer, known primarily for his work in Tamil cinema. He is the son of acclaimed producer R.B. Choudary and brother of actor Jiiva. Ramesh made his acting debut in the Telugu film 'Vidyardhi' in 2004, followed by his Tamil debut in 'Jithan' (2005), a film that became synonymous with his screen name. He has appeared in over two dozen films across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages, often portraying lead and supporting roles. Beyond acting, he has also ventured into production, notably with the successful Tamil film 'Jilla' (2014). His career received renewed attention following his participation as a contestant in Bigg Boss Tamil 4 in 2020, where he garnered a new fan base for his calm demeanor. He continues to be active in the film industry, taking on diverse roles.
