About

Kalyani Malik, also known as Kalyan Koduri, is a celebrated Indian music director and playback singer predominantly working in Telugu cinema. Born into a prominent film family, he started his career as a chorus singer and assistant to his elder brother, the illustrious M. M. Keeravani, which provided him with invaluable practical training. His breakthrough as a solo music director came with Chandra Sekhar Yeleti's critically acclaimed thriller 'Aithe' (2003), earning him a Nandi Award. He gained widespread recognition for his soulful and melodious compositions in hit romantic comedies such as 'Ashta Chemma' (2008) and 'Ala Modalaindi' (2011), the latter fetching him a CineMAA Award. While continuing to score full soundtracks for films, especially those by his frequent collaborator Mohan Krishna Indraganti, Kalyani Malik has increasingly become a sought-after composer for his impactful background scores, contributing significantly to numerous successful Telugu films across various genres. He also holds a notable credit as a sound supervisor for 'Baahubali: The Beginning'.
