Raghunatha Reddy is a prominent Indian actor primarily known for his character roles in Telugu cinema. Born in Krishna District, he completed his schooling in Vijayawada and Machilipatnam. Before entering films, he worked for Lallaguda railway station, part of the South Central Railway zone. His journey in acting began in theater, where he was an active member of the Jyothirmayi acting group in Vijayawada and won an award for his debut drama competition for HMT Parishad. His talent was recognized when he was spotted in the play 'Dharmo Rakshita Rakshita', leading to his film debut in 1991 with 'Sarpayagam', a Sobhan Babu-starrer directed by Paruchuri Brothers and produced by D. Ramanaidu. Known for his distinctive 'metallic voice', Reddy has been a consistent presence in Telugu films, often featuring in movies alongside R. Narayana Murthy or Mohan Babu, with his role in 'Orey Rikshaw' (1995) being particularly notable. After facing health issues in 2008, 2011, and 2014, he gradually reduced his acting frequency.
